Alcaraz set aside a bad start and beat Djokovic 1-6, 7-6 (6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 to end his 34-game winning streak at Wimbledon.
Alcaraz, 20, was the third youngest at Wimbledon, replacing 36-year-old Serbian Djokovic, who was the oldest men’s champion. The age gap between the two was the widest in any men’s Slam final since 1974.
This is Alcaraz’s second Grand Slam tournament win after winning the US Open 2022.
Djokovic has previously won 23 Grand Slam tournaments.
