Ahead of the third and final day of the 2024 Tashkent Judo Grand Slam, IJF General Treasurer Naser AL TAMIMI and Tajikistan Judo Federation President Ismoil Mahmadzoir signed a historic agreement for Tajikistan to host this year’s junior world championships.

“The crowd in Tashkent was cheering loudly with musical instruments.” said Takayama. “I didn’t know if they were cheering for me or not, but that motivated me.”

-In the 90 kilo category, Bulgarian Ivaylo IVANOV faced Greek Theodoros TSELIDIS in an exciting match! However, it was TSELIDIS who managed to take the victory by throwing two waza-aris!

Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oybek KASIMOV was present at the ceremony of awarding the medals.

Xin SU won in +78 kg. Japanese Ruri TAKAHASHI first throws and then catches.

In +100 kg, Hyoga OTA defeated Tamerlan BASHAEV. Japanese athlete reached the golden score with his waza-ari score!
