‘_Scream VI_’ is about Tara (Jenna Ortega) and Sam (Melissa Barrera) living in New York City with the series villain Ghostface.
Courteney Cox, who has appeared in all six films since her 1996 original, is the only original actress to return after former co-star Neve Campbell’s decision not to return.
Explaining her reasons, Campbell claimed that she wasn’t offered as much as a man for the lead role in the long-running franchise, adding, “I’ve had to work extremely hard to establish my value in my career as a woman. , especially when it comes to Scream. I felt that the offer that was made to me did not equal the value I brought to the franchise.”
